Since 1851, the University of Notre Dame has had it's own post office, separate from the neighboring town of South Bend, IN. This is an important and unique part of Notre Dame's history, but it can sometimes lead to confusion as well.

This web page is meant to provide some basic information to assist campus departments trying to receive mail and off-campus parties trying to mail to campus. This information was compiled in August 2017 in collaboration with the Notre Dame Mail Distribution office and the United States Postal Service Postmaster for Notre Dame, IN. It will be updated periodically as appropriate but for specific concerns we recommend you contact those offices directly.
