Campus Mail Preparation

1. Sorting Guidelines

Campus Mail must be sorted by department within buildings. All Resident Hall mail must be sorted by building and then numerically within the building.

2. Obtaining Address Lists

Address lists for staff and faculty may be obtained through the Department of Human Resources.  When ordering a list be sure and request that it be printed in department order, making your sorting process easier.

Address lists for students may be obtained from the Office of the Registrar.  These lists may be in Hall order, and then numerically within the hall.

3. Expected Delivery Times

Campus mail is delivered twice daily, first between 8:00am and 10:00am and then again from 1:00 to 2:30pm.  All outgoing mail that is picked up is processed and sent our that same day.  Campus mail picked up in the morning is delivered in the afternoon of the same day and mail picked up in the afternoon is delivered the following morning. Expected times for campus mail for Residence Hall mail varies based upon the time that it is picked up by each indivudal Hall carrier and then delivered to the Hall boxes.

4. Supplies for Mailings

You may call the Mail Center at any time and request mailing supplies.  We will deliver them to your department on the next scheduled route.  You may request the following materials:

  • Mail Trays
  • Mail Tubs
  • Inter-campus Envelopes
  • Mailing Forms
  • Strapping Materials
